It was a pleasure to welcome members of Maghera Strollers to our HQ recently.

Specialist Group has been proudly sponsoring Maghera Strollers for over a year and we were honoured to be presented with a framed jersey in recognition of our sponsorship and to meet these young players from a variety of local schools.

The Youth Academy of Maghera Strollers is the fulfilment of the club’s vision to promote recreational sport for all boys and girls born between 2010 and 2017 – a fantastic initiative which encompasses all schools in our local area. At Specialist, we are passionate about developing our youth and we recognise the importance of sport in improving mental and physical health as well as teambuilding skills, confidence and communication skills – all of which are very vital when these young people enter the world of work.

Mark McErlean from Maghera Strollers commented:

 “We are delighted to present Specialist Group with a framed Maghera Strollers jersey. We’ve been so grateful of the support that Specialist Group has given us and this gesture is merely a token of our appreciation. We feel very grateful that Specialist Group is invested in the future of this club and the efforts we are making with our young people both on and off the pitch.”

On receipt of this framed jersey, Group Sales Director for Specialist Group, Dermot O’Hagan, commented: 

“Competitive sports teach children valuable lessons that they’ll carry with them throughout life and it’s our pleasure to be able to support this organisation in their investment in these children’s futures. We always embrace ways that we can help give back to our local community and with the cross community nature of this venture, it particularly appealed to us a cause we were keen to embrace. We’ve been enjoying the progress of this sponsorship and the development of the club as a result and it is so great to see so many local children enjoying the sport.’
