Charity has always been at the heart of Specialist Group and the biggest achievement for us in 2022 was raising a record amount of money for these amazing charities.

In a year were charities needed our support more than ever, we raised and donated over £250,000 for charities both at home and abroad. This kicked off with our Project Ukraine event in April raising over £110,000 for the Red Cross and finished with our Project Santa event in December.

We were delighted to welcome representatives from these fantastic charities to our Christmas Dinner to present them with their cheques following the Project Santa fundraising efforts.

The Specialist Team had selected 12 charities who each received cheques for £8500, these charities included:

· Maghera Cross Community Link
· Action for Children
· Alzheimer’s Society
· Charis Cancer Care
· Chest Heart & Stroke
· Macmillan Cancer Support
· Marie Curie
· Mental Health UK
· STEPS
· Sands
· Air Ambulance NI

As we had surpassed our original fundraising target, we were able to donate to a further 10 fantastic charities including:

· SVP Maghera
· SVP Bellaghy
· Causeway Down Syndrome
· The Olive Branch
· All Lives are Precious
· De Paul
· Foyle Hospice
· Societi – UK Kawasaki Disease Foundation
· Diabetes
· Crohns/Colitis
