Specialist Group and we were delighted to work in conjunction with Mix Interiors to plant 1,400 trees. These trees equated to one for every person in the audience at the Mixology Awards that took place in September 2021.

Specialist Group worked with The Woodland Trust to plant these trees up in their conservation area in Carnmoney Hill, Northern Ireland.

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity, an amazing organisation that works hard at their vision of a UK rich in wood and trees.  The woodland trust plants woods and trees to combat climate change, build a greener future for the UK and create havens for wildlife.

This planting on Carnmoney Hill was to expand the existing woodland and to increase the buffer around the ancient woodland on the site.

From little acorns mighty oaks grow.

At Specialist Group we firmly believe that our young people and apprentices are the lifeblood of the company and it was for this reason we included the apprentices in the Tree planting as from little acorns mighty oaks grow and these Apprentices are certainly helping us to grow our future.

The Specialist Team worked hard up at Carnmoney Hill planting a range of trees that were all native and of Irish provenance.  The species included alder, silver birch, hazel, pedunculate oak, sessile oak, wild cherry, rowan and Scots pine.
