Skills That Support

Using our time, materials and expertise to support community projects in practical ways.

Community support is not only about fundraising.

Sometimes, the most useful thing we can offer is our time, our skills and our practical experience.

At Specialist, our teams are encouraged to get involved in initiatives where they can make a real difference, whether that means supporting a local charity, helping a community group or contributing to a project that needs hands-on support.

Through pro bono work, we use our specialist knowledge, materials and resources to support organisations that may not otherwise have access to that level of help.

These projects allow our people to put their skills to good use beyond day-to-day project delivery.

Volunteering also plays an important role. Colleagues across the business regularly give their time to support local charities, schools, community groups and events. That support can take many forms, from fundraising and event help to practical projects that benefit people in the communities around us.

By giving both time and expertise, Specialist can support causes in a way that is useful, practical and personal.

It also gives our people the opportunity to get involved, share what they know and contribute to the communities where we live and work.
