A SEN school refurbishment delivered through practical joinery, reception features and learning furniture.

St Gerard’s SEN School involved the extensive refurbishment of the former Balmoral High School, delivered within a challenging programme.

Specialist delivered joinery throughout the school, including a feature reception counter manufactured from Corian and glass with subtle backlighting.

Library furniture was designed to divide junior and senior school areas while incorporating individual study stations and quiet spaces. Breakout areas and interactive learning zones integrated AV and computer technology, supporting a modern education environment designed around varied learning needs.

The project required practical detailing, durable finishes and careful coordination to help create a welcoming school environment. Specialist’s work supported reception, learning, study and breakout spaces within a facility built for pupils, staff and day-to-day school life.
