A Southwark primary school delivered through joinery shaped around learning, play and development.

Rotherhithe Primary School formed part of a comprehensive school rebuilding initiative led by the London Borough of Southwark.

Working with Farrans, Specialist delivered joinery for a new 3,600 sq m school building accommodating 630 pupils and an integrated nursery. Built on existing playgrounds, the school follows the idea of “a school in a garden”, creating a safe and stimulating environment for learning and play.

Education projects require robust, practical and carefully considered interiors that support daily use by pupils, teachers and staff. Specialist’s joinery package contributed to a joyful, functional learning environment designed around development, durability and long-term school life.
