Pinterest’s London workplace on Oxford Street was designed around the energy, character and variety of the city itself.
Rather than separating client-facing feature areas from practical work zones, the office brings both together to create a highly expressive and positive working environment. Each area takes inspiration from different London districts, with its own material language, detail and atmosphere, while still forming one connected workplace.
Working with Gensler, JLL and Structure Tone, Specialist delivered joinery, metalwork and doors across a fit-out defined by variety and coordination. The package included 58 different finishes, 130 technical submissions and 145 workshop drawings, requiring careful management from design development through to manufacture and installation.
The project demanded strong collaboration across the full team. With so many bespoke areas and no repetitive approach, every detail had to be resolved properly and coordinated with adjoining trades.
The result is a workplace full of personality, built through detailed planning, material control and shared delivery focus.
