A maternity healthcare project delivered through specialist joinery for birth and neonatal environments.
Addenbrooke’s Rosie Birth Centre was constructed, fitted out and commissioned in 76 weeks, creating highly serviced maternity and neonatal environments.
The building includes 10 birthing suites with ensuite wet rooms, birthing pools, integrated folding beds, medical gas outlets, mood lighting and MP3 connectivity. Neonatal intensive care and sick children’s birthing areas included complex service requirements, including dual medical gas and power systems.
Specialist worked closely with the Trust to support design aspirations and specification, adding value through healthcare furniture knowledge and practical delivery experience.
The project required joinery and fitted furniture suited to sensitive clinical settings, where comfort, safety, function and service integration must be delivered together.
