Business Development Manager – Interior Glass & Metal

Specialist Group is seeking an experienced Business Development/Sales Manager dedicated to increasing Specifications, Leads and Sales for the Specialist Glass and Specialist Metal brands.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Creating leads, opportunities and specifications for the Specialist Group Glass and Metal product ranges.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new partnerships.
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address their needs.
  • Developing key relationships with the A&D community (architects and designers).
  • Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections.
  • Achieving any sales targets set.
  • Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels.
  • Completing CPD presentations, product showcases and lunch & learns when appropriate.
  • Focus on winning specifications with architects and interior designers A&D.
  • Additional focus on managing relationships with project managers and contractors.
  • Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships.
  • Following up on any sales leads and opportunities.
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients.
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, competition in the industry and positioning.
  • Producing reports for management.
  • Availability of travelling.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Fit out Industry background preferable.
  • A&D Specification sales experience.
  • Ideally with contacts within the Interior Architects/Designers community.
  • Good presentation skills
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A self-starter with drive for success.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships.
  • Happy to take part in client entertainment as and when required.
